Converting your septic tank to the city sewer line
There are a number of reasons you may be considering converting from a septic tank to your city sewer system. Your septic tank may be old, you may be experiencing problems with it, or perhaps the city is requiring it.

It is highly recommended that you hire a professional to complete the work for you. Keith McNeill Plumbing of Tallahassee has years of experience and will work with you from the initial stages until the conversion is complete.

Basically the following will be done. The pipe that runs between the house and septic tank will be dug up. A new pipe will then be laid between the house and the sewer system. Obstacles such as trees, sidewalks, swimming pools, and retaining walls all have to be considered when laying the pipe. After it is connected to the sewer line, the septic tank will need to be “abandoned”.  This involves pumping it out and then filling it with an approved method such as soil or gravel.

There are certain advantages to making the switch. Being connected to the city sewer line does not require any maintenance on your part. It may increase the value of your home. You don’t have to worry about unpleasant odors that can occur when the septic tank is pumped.

Our team at Keith McNeill Plumbing will complete the conversion with very little down time.  We follow and comply with all regulations and guarantee a smooth safe transition. Give us a call at 850-391-1417 and we’ll come out and give you a free estimate
